What is the SOS Enrichment Fund?

The SOS Enrichment Fund is a venue for people to make charitable cash donations. 100% of your contribution goes to the school, unlike traditional fundraisers where AES only nets 50-60% of the gross profit.  Even better news, the AES PTA is a non-profit organization boasting 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

That means any dollars you donate directly to the Enrichment Fund are tax deductible!  AND, to kick it up a notch, many companies will match cash donations to 501(c)(3) organizations.  Contact your company human resources department to find out if they match donations and how to do it.

Mini Grants: The Alpharetta Elementary PTA has been fortunate to have great fundraising years thanks to you, our parents and community partners. The majority of the fundraising dollars go right back into the school in the form of Mini-grants.  Click here to view the 2009-2010 Mini-grant Endowments.  Additional funds are spent on Enrichment and Cultural Arts Programs.

We understand that each AES family has their own priorities in establishing how they spend their charitable contribution dollars.  If you prefer not to make a cash donation to The Enrichment Fund, you can still Support Our School (S.O.S.) by participating in one of our traditional fundraisers of the school year, the FundRunners Fun Run, Coupons 4 Alpharetta, or Spring Carnival.

Options for Donating to the SOS Enrichment Fund:

1. Simply write the donation amount on your PTA Membership Form.  In this way, you are writing ONE check for everything (PTA Membership, Yearbook, Spirit Wear, Enrichment Fund).  Bring it to Open House or to the AES office.
2. Use the SOS Donation Form to make one lump sum donation.  Bring it to Open House or to the AES office.
3. Use the SOS Installment Donation Form to make multiple contributions up until November 1.  Bring to Open House or AES Office.
4. Include Friends and Family: Extended family may opt to donate cash directly to our school too. Simply have them download the SOS Donation Form and mail it into our school.
