Mobile Science Lab Visits PRE-K

Mrs. Hallam’s Pre-K class had a very special visit from the Science Academy Mobile Lab last week. The Science Academy Mobile Lab is a “Walk On” Interactive Science Museum that is available to schools for “on site” field trips. Joe and Nell Estes, who developed the Lab, are grandparents of Haley Estes, who is a Pre-K student at Alpharetta Elementary. The 4 year olds enjoyed a very special hands-on geology lesson on rocks. They were very excited to take home their own collection of minerals and rocks. For more information on the mobile lab, contact ScienceAcademySite.com.

Fire Safety House Visits Alpharetta Elementary
The Pre-K through second grade students at Alpharetta Elementary School celebrated Fire Safety Week with a visit from the Alpharetta Fire Department on October 20th.

Children got to practice first hand by going into the Safety House – a wonderful opportunity to stay low and go! The firefighters gave children the tools to prevent fires by staying away from matches and lighters and the skills to stay safe in the event of a fire.
